Started as Project Stream that was introduced back in 2018, Google is finally gearing up for the first-ever introduction of its Google Stadia gaming platform that will be introduced officially on June 6. The first-ever event called Stadia Connect will air on YouTube on June 6 (Thursday) at 12 p.m. EDT or 9 am PDT which will be the first of a series of introduction videos that Google will introduce.
E3 2019 is expected to kick off on June 11, however, Google will commence the introduction of its Stadia gaming platform on June 6 where it will discuss information related to the Stadia in-house games and others, price, and launch date as well. As said, the platform is focused on gamers, inspired by the developers, and amplified by YouTube developers where the gamers can actually play online and air it directly on YouTube via live broadcast and more.
Google Stadia was teased early this year as the beginning of the end of gaming consoles which are expensive and heavy and requires gamers to have dedicated PC and gaming accessories to play the games. In fact, some high-end games require highly-tuned PCs which could run in thousands of dollars. However, Google Stadia will have a different approach where users will be able to play high-end games on their browsers, TVs, computers, smartphones and other devices without the need for high-end PCs.
Yes, Google will have its own data centers that will conduct all the required graphics processing and more while producing a visual output to the users that will allow users to play games at 60fps. In fact, Google Stadia has mentioned that it could boost the resolution to 8K with a refresh rate of 120 fps although that would be in the near future.
Google will also introduce all the supported games from publishers like Electronic Arts (EA), Ubisoft along with its in-house games that will be available as well. Stadia could have the multiplayer capability as well although that remains a mystery until the event is presented. Anyways, Google will make tiers and prices, games, and launch date of the service at the Stadia Connect on June 6.
