Google’s 2019 flagship phones are expected to be the company’s fastest and most powerful phones yet. The Pixel and Pixel 4 XL have leaked out several times over the past month, especially once Google itself confirmed the design of the back of the Pixel 4 by posting an image of the phone.
Through the image on Twitter, Google confirmed the design of the back of its new Pixel 4 line-up, leaving the front of the phone to be still a mystery. However, a new player in the tipster scene, named Sudhanshu Ambhore who goes by @Sudhanshu1414 on Twitter, has now posted Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL case renders and not surprisingly, they conform to the previous leaks. As per the renders, we see a square cut out for the rear-facing camera module and the thinner bezels. We also see an apparent ditching of the notch by returning to a simple blacked-out top bezel. You can also see images of the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL from every angle.
Talking about the fingerprint sensor, Google’s reveal lacked a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, so we could safely predict that both versions of the new phone will include an in-screen fingerprint sensor. We also saw only a USB-C port at the bottom, so there’s not much hope for a 3.5mm headphone jack making a comeback. The aforementioned Pixel 4 XL images also show bottom-firing speakers, a dual-lens camera on the front, and a triple-lens camera on the back. Despite the images above, leaks suggest the Pixel 4 might have a notch, after all, one housing two cameras.
Coming to the other major things in the spec sheet, the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL are expected to have 6GB of RAM. Pixel 4 could have a 5.6-5.8-inch screen, while the Pixel 4 XL could have a 6.2-6.4-inch one. Although the Snapdragon 855 Mobile Platform is expected, it is not known whether the new Snapdragon 855+ chip will be employed. But it will make more sense to pack in the recently unveiled Snapdragon 855 Plus since the smartphones aren’t expected to be here until October.
